31 May 2011
With over a year before tenants are due to move in, Let Students are already renting houses for the 2012-13 academic year. Two have been let over the bank holiday weekend and viewings on a further five have been booked for later in the week.
The popularity of the town as a destination for students is further supported with Lancaster University recently polling seventh in the Guardian University Guide 2012 league table. The future of the University of Cumbria’s Lancaster campus appears more secure as its two primary disciplines of Teacher Training and Health Care remain unaffected by the recent increase in tuition fees.
Graham Seacy, Let Students commented “the demand for quality student housing in Lancaster has been high for some time and looks set to remain so for years to come.”
Despite having no remaining properties for the forthcoming 2011-12 academic year Let Students continue to receive speculative enquiries regarding accommodation from students.
